A great favorite in the USA and Canada, the Delaware-based folksinger/musician has enjoyed success all over the world. Gerry was born in Coalisland County Tyrone, Northern Ireland where, at a young age, he developed an interest in traditional Irish music. Over the years, Gerry’s love of music expanded to include Scottish, American, Canadian, and Australian folk music as well. He moved to the USA in the early seventies where he has been entertaining audiences with his rich baritone vocals, guitar stylings, and his sense of humor ever since. He has been playing his special brand of Irish and folk music for his audiences for more than five decades in Ireland, the British Isles, the United States, and Canada.
In March 2014, he was the guest performer for the Congressional Friends of Ireland Luncheon at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. Guests included President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Speaker of the House John Boehner, and Irish Prime Minister (Taoiseach) Enda Kenny.
Gerry has several recordings to his credit and hosts tour groups to Ireland and Scotland annually. He continues to perform at festivals, clubs, concerts, and special events.
